Article about the painter Robert Ekman in "Le Francofinn"

In the November issue of "Le Francofinn" I have published an article entitled: Robert Wilhelm Ekman, le ‘père fondateur’ de la peinture finlandaise (Robert Ekman, the 'founding father' of Finnish painting). The next article (January issue) will feature the painter Louis Sparre.

"Au présent", November 2008: Islam in France

In the November issue of "Au présent", I have published a dossier about Islam in France, the second religion of the country after Catholicism.

Other smaller articles can be found concerning the journalist Christine Okrent, the cartoon inspired by the life of the trader Jérôme Kerviel and finally Audrey Tautou and her new role as Coco Chanel.

New article about the French Civil Union Contract (PACS)

My latest articles in "Au Présent" magazine deal with the growing success in France of the Civil Union Contract, called PACS (Pacte Civil de Solidarité) in French. Initially created for homosexuals, it's nowadays favoured by heterosexuals as an alternative to mariage.

In the new issue of the magazine can also be found portraits of the new director of Villa Médicis: Frédéric Mitterand, of the new presentator of the evening news: Laurence Ferrari, and of the awarded French architect Jean Nouvel.

New article about Walter Runeberg

The sculptor Walter Runeberg is the suject of the latest article in the Francofinn: "Walter Runeberg, le fils de son père".

An article entitled: "Suomalaiset eivät tunne Ranskaa" (Finns don't know France") has been published in Helsingin Sanomat by Osmo Pekonen (Saturday July 6, 2008). The writer mentions the book Suomalaisten Ranska. Kaunis tuntematon (Clerc and Ranki) and my article about Finnish artists in France:

New article about Ville Vallgren

My latest article in the summer issue of "Le Francofinn" is entitled: "L'art de la miniature chez Ville Vallgren" ("The art of miniature sculpture of Ville Vallgren"). The frontpage of the news paper is dedicated to the Havis Amanda exhibition in Jugendsali organised by the Helsinki City Art Museum.
